Summary of Toxicological Studies on Acrinathrin

DESCRIPTION OF THE TEST CHEMICALS Acrinathrin is a new active ingredient which belongs to the family of Synthetic Pyrethroids and possesses high insecticidal activity against a wide range of insect pest together with miticidal activity. It has been discovered and synthesized by Roussel Uclaf in 1980s. In Japan, acrinathrin has been developed for application on various crops including vegetables, fruits, tea and ornamentals as the formulation product of the compound, ARDENT 3% WP (acrinathrin 3% wettable powder, hereafter as WP formulation) and was registered in 1995 as a insecticide for the control of these crops.
